Mindfulness is choosing to be present with things as they are in this moment. Mindfulness helps us meet whatever is here with an attitude of curiosity and kindness. The experience might be something pleasant, like tasting a delicious bite of a favorite food or seeing a sparkling dewdrop on a flower petal, or it might be something unpleasant, like smelling a skunk, or hearing the on-going sound of a car alarm.
As we focus our attention, we can meet whatever is here with openness and interest, thus creating the space for a more flexible and creative response. With this response, we are able to grow and to discover new possibilities for living with increased ease, kindness, and joy.
Join other experienced practitioners of mindfulness to continue to develop your practice and your understanding of mindfulness and compassion.
Prerequisite: Open to all those who have completed a 6-8 week mindfulness class, in person or on-line.
The group meets Wednesdays, 6:00 until 8:00 PM. The next meeting will be Wednesday April 17 2019. Please also mark your calendar for Wednesday May 15, Wednesday June 19, Wednesday July 17, and Wednesday August 21 .

Awakening Together: Practicing Insight Dialogue
Insight Dialogue is a fully engaged relational meditation practice in the Theravadan (Vipassana) tradition which brings together meditative awareness, the wisdom teachings of the Buddha, and the power of relationship to support insight into the nature, source and release of human suffering.
Led by Deborah Ennis, assisted by teachers from the Insight Dialogue Community
Appropriate for those with an existing meditation or mindfulness practice.
Please do not wear any scented hair, body, or clothing care products.

An initial, orientation session with Deborah is required.
Each program provides instruction in mindfulness meditation techniques including awareness of the breath, body scan, sitting meditation, walking meditation, gentle stretching and movement, and interpersonal communication skills. Program flyer is available here.

This six-week class is designed for people who are interested in learning about mindfulness without the level of daily practice commitment required in the eight-week MBSR course. This is a good place to explore how a daily mindfulness practice may be of benefit to you.
